Day Three

The Fun Begins

Day 3 went well.

We took a bus tour of the city of Naples with stops for ice cream & photos.

The city of Naples is a rough city with crazy traffic and dirty, narrow streets. Other than that, it can be fun. It is the undisputed home of the pizza pie (made up for us not seeing the leaning tower of Pisa) and has some lovely churches.

Surrounding the city are popular destinations including the Isle of Capri and Sorrento.

We viewed Mt. Vesuvius where you can still see the scars from the lava flows following the 1944 eruption. Some of our group went to Pompeii to see the ruins from the volcanic eruption in 79 A.D.

Back on the ship we had a nice dinner with many choices.

I had the duck and a grand Marnier soufflé for dessert! Later we hit the Karaoke bar and the Skywalker lounge at Midnight! A fun evening was had by all.

Today we are at sea for the entire day and will arrive in Santorini, Greece at 7 A.M. tomorrow.

I'm Looking forward to seeing the beautiful beaches and quaint little villages we have been promised. Today I wandered around the ship taking photos.
