Johnny Rock&Roll Goes to SeaDay Six Man, another beautiful Greek Isle
We really had a nice time in Mykonos. The morning we arrived I took the shuttle over to a nice beach with clear blue water and nice restaurants. The beach quickly filled with people, most of whom were there to sunbathe, but a few of us went into the cool Aegean Sea. As I strolled down the beach I came upon a sight you don't ever see on a Vermont beach, a woman sunning herself on a lounge chair without a stitch of clothes on her body. She was laying face up and obviously didn't care who was around. Some of the women were topless, but that old adage held true that people who take their clothes off are the ones who should probably have left them on.
After a few minutes the novelty wore off and we all went back to enjoying the
peaceful beach and warm breeze off the ocean. You could wander the maze of streets, shop to your heart's content, or relax in one of the many seaside cafes watching the people or the boats in the harbor come and go.
The homes are scattered around the hillsides and do not seem to have any
orderly planning such as you would see in America. The homes are almost all
white in color and each has it's own driveway from the main road without any
side streets. The internet has been out for two days, the electrical problems have continued with dimmed lighting at times and our toilets have refused to flush on occasion.
One of the members of the crew advised me that we had been adrift for 45
minutes after leaving Kusadasi, Turkey, due to an electrical failure. This
morning when we headed out on a tour we could smell sewer gas at our tour
gathering point in the Princess theater. |
