Day Seven

Chilling with the party people on Corfu

We arrived in Corfu Sunday morning and found beautiful weather in the low 80's.

On a 3 1/2 hours bus tour of the island we saw many spectacular beaches and beautiful sights, especially when we stopped for a drink high on the mountain over-looking the northern beaches.

The roads were well maintained and not crowded (perhaps because it was a Sunday?).

I would have liked to have spent more time at the one beach we visited. The water was absolutely crystal clear with multiple shades of aqua blue color. The whole scene was very inviting.

The boat is another story. People are upset with the glitches on the boat.

We've had toilet problems and electrical problems.

I was not able to get on the internet for about 3 days and some of the people in my group were not happy with a few of the employees on the boat.

I can't say I've been wowed by anything on the Grand Princess. The food has been good but not as nice as my last cruise on the Princess line.

The party atmosphere on the Grand Princess seems forced and not overly enthusiastic. Tonight they had a champagne waterfall party in the foyer on the boat which was well-attended, but subdued. I'm not feeling that this is a party boat at all. It's more like a hotel lobby with occasional signs of life.

I'm flying to Corfu my next time out and just chilling with the party people at the beach.
